COPENHAGEN, N.J. (NEWS8) – The city of New York has shut down several beaches due to what officials call “unacceptable” levels of sewage flooding the lake.
The city says it will be closed at 11 p.m. Wednesday until further notice from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesd더킹 카지노ay through Friday.
New York Police are concerned that a pipe leading into the lake may have burst and that storm sewer systems in the area are compromised.
According to the city, the water entering the lake is likely higher than the state’s standards because New York city is one of five cities where sewer pipes carry sewage into the lake. The city has said it takes the threat of storm sewer system systems compromised very seriously.
The city says the city is currently providing free “weather-preventing” clothing and water from city sewer systems in New York City and at the city-run swimming pool at the New York City Children’s Museum. The city says it’s offering an $800 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction.
